Using Light Therapy As an Eczema Natural Remedy

You don’t need any medications to treat eczema. There are actually two types light therapies which are used as an eczema natural remedy . Talk to your doctor to see which one is right for you. UVA-1 Phototherapy is the one we will talk about first. This type uses light, in the form of a narrow band that goes deep within the skin.

Doctors claim it is more intensely focused than other types of therapy, thus keeping patients’ skin from burning during sessions. This type is the newest. You can treat larger sections of your body without use of prescription medications, and avoid their side effects. This makes this a very preferable treatment alternative.

Once people thought this was an autoimmune disease, dermatitis is a ailment that causes your palms to blister and your feet to develop sores. It is currently used to treat this too. Only a small number of hospitals in America have it, because it is so new. The machine emits a UVA light targeted on the affected area during each session. Each session lasts for less than 15 minutes. You can do this multiple times per week. Redness and itchiness may occur, but will quickly go away.

Around 5 sessions for the first week is normal for this particular eczema natural remedy. Then the frequency goes down to just a few times a week after that. Once you’ve been going for over 3 months, people usually can’t tell a patient’s had eczema. And it starts clearing up after a few weeks. There is narrow band UVB light therapy also available. Most doctors will use this method.

A certain wavelength of radiation is used for this therapy. This wavelength is what the term what they named narrow band. The patient’s ultraviolet radiation exposure is 311 nanometers. It’s the most normally used form of light treatment because your exposure to ultraviolet radiation is short, and so is the length of overall treatment. Also, many facilities are equipped to perform it.

You will have longer periods without eczema and has a high probability of success the first round through.

This method also treats, vitiligo, pruritus, polymorphous light eruption, lymphoma, dermagraphsm, lichen planus, and early stages of cutaneous T-cell.

Another type of treatment is Psoralen along with UVA treatment, or PUVA for short. You can find Psoralen in plants. You can only ingest it or apply it topically.

The patient can cut the exposure time to harmful radiation, if taken along with UVA treatment. You would have to ingest Psoralen one hour before your UVA treatment session. The hospital is obligated to provide some sort of topical version, if the patient cannot handle ingesting it.

During treatment, as well as the entire day after that, the patient has to wear protective goggles. The treatment goes on for 3 months. The frequency of sessions is about 3 times per week. After treatment is complete maintenance sessions will still be needed. These are once a week. 24 hours of avoiding sunlight is required after each session. Light therapy for eczema works and is safe. If you suffer from this, you should talk to your doctor about it.

If this is the same for you, try out some of the following natural tips and to test if these age-old remedies can improve your skin condition. First check with your dermatologist to see if he sees any conflict with your current regiment.

Flaxseed oil not only will help reduce this skin disorder, it will also improve the overall health of your skin. Many say we get our omega six amounts in the foods we eat daily, but we skimp on the foods that provide omega three ingredients. The jury’s still out on the taste of flaxseed oil, but there can be little debate about the results it has on your skin. For those that don’t like the taste of the oil, there are capsules available. Some people enjoy the oil as part of a salad dressing.

Blueberry leaf extract has natural base ingredients that have excellent effects on your skin condition. They use a kind of acid called chlorogenic acid. This acid is a natural anti-inflammatory medication. That means that wherever you are feeling pain or inflammation, apply the extract in ointment or lotion form, and you should find the symptoms reduced. Your local health food store should supply blueberry extract in many forms. There are other anti-inflammatory agents such as tumeric which can be found in capsule form.

The more moisture you have in your skin, the less it will crack and tear; itch and peel. In an eczema sufferer, the further you can avoid these things the better. As a basic rule, the more you moisturize the better, but you should moisturize a minimum of two times a day. That should give you some real rewards. It’s best to moisturize right after bathing, pat yourself dry with a plush towel and apply the cream directly to damp skin. This can help you seal the moisturizer into the skin, and give you even wider benefits. Read the ingredients on any moisturizer you consider using to check for allergens.

Some people are sensitive to cosmetics and personal care items so this can be one of the triggers of flare-ups. Perfumes and fragrances are also important to avoid for dermatitis problems.

Ovarian cysts natural cures should be a woman’s first treatment if she has an ovarian cyst. If you have ever suffered from painful cysts, lost time from work and family or are just tired of being unhealthy, you should learn about natural remedies can help women cure their ovarian cysts before they start.

The Conventional Medicine Gap in Ovarian Cysts Treatment

Fortunately, conventional medicine has benefited society in a way that is priceless. Vaccines have eliminated disease, cancer can be cured and lives are saved every day from conventional medicine. Unfortunately, conventional medicine has left major gaps in some treatments. Ovarian cysts are one of those conditions that have traditionally been left to conventional methods like surgery or medication (like birth control pills). Why doctors never looked at what was causing women to have cysts in the first place is a mystery. That is where holistic treatments come in.

Using Natural Methods to Cure Ovarian Cysts

Holistic medicine treats both the mind and the body in combination, not as if they where separate systems. Additionally, natural methods use the body’s natural healing power to cure itself. For example, by eliminating estrogen rich foods, avoiding processed foods and taking natural hormonal balancing supplements, I was able to cure my ovarian cysts and avoid another surgery.

Although I truly believe that conventional medicine has it’s place, I am also a believer in holistic medicine. Taking some medications only mask the symptoms but offer no cure. On the other hand, alternative medicine takes into account why the problem happened in the first place. That’s was the missing link in my treatment.
