An 11 year old boy, from San Diego, was treated for an itchy rash, at Rady Children’s hospital. The boy’s iPad was tested, and was found to contain a chemical compound found in nickel. After putting a protective case on his iPad, his rash improved. The iPad was an early model, and it is uncertain if other iPads or Apple devices contain nickel.
