Dermarest Dermarest Eczema Medicated Lotion Medium By:nathan …

I have had eczema my entire life – my hands would get so red and dry in the winter that they would bleed! – and I found nothing over the counter that would work. Sure the prescriptions helped – but they would give me a tiny tube that cost too much and lasted a week. Dermarest lotion (emphasis on “lotion” – I found the cream version they offer does not work as well) is absolutely wonderful. I have told many family and friends about this product and everyone loves it. It even works on the children in the family (as our exzema is hereditary). Bottom line – it works, it’s inexpensive and the size of the bottle will last you all winter!

Widespread Beliefs Concerning Eksem You Must Know | Treat Your …

Eksem, or Eczema, is reported to be a condition of the skin the result of a fungus. Others claim that it brought on by certain undefined internal and external factors that affect an individual. Regardless, though, of the trigger of this condition, it generates an inflammatory reaction of Your skin or rashes that greatly affect the patient not merely physically, plus also psychologically and socially as it may surface at no particular time.

What is sad is the fact people seem to know so little relating to this condition they have created their own myths and cures. Whilst some of those could possibly be pretty harmless, others are quite detrimental into the patient’s health. They have a tendency to believe these myths over the sound medical advice they are not able to care for eksem properly.

Listed here are the most famous myths about eksem along with the truth behind each one.

•    It is contagious.

It is better to deal with this matter immediately, a matter that shows up in everyone’s mind every time they hear its name. Eksem is certainly not contagious. You are unable to get it from anyone who has it, thus, an eczema patient cannot impart it to someone should they acquired contact.

•    It is caused by poor hygiene.

It’s got absolutely nothing to do with individual hygiene. Eksem is due to the mixture of countless factors. You could be tremendously neat and have a lot more bath than any one yet still obtain it. Actually, those dealing with eczema really should bathe more regularly, even if brief, warm ones, to moisturize the skin.

•    Sunshine helps address it.

Long ago, the ultraviolet rays off of the sun was considered an efficient way to Cure all sorts of eksem and it is truly normally proposed by the doctors. Presently, on the other hand, studies show the therapy is effective mainly for possibly the most serious circumstances. For the acute and the sub-acute forms, any UV rays has been recommended that should be shunned.

•    It is brought on by a psychological disorder.

As previously mentioned, eksem is caused by a wide variety of factors. While it’s true that your particular specified mental condition for instance tension, rage, panic or frustration makes the breakout appear more regularly, they are not the only root of it.

There’s nothing improper with looking for ways to tackle a difficult problem such as eksem. Nevertheless it shouldn’t get to the point that trusting in common myths is actually all you do. They’re called myths for some reasons, one being they have not really been medically confirmed.

Antihistamines and eczema – The Bub Hub

Just wanted to share really… and was wondering if I was the only one that hadn’t tried this yet… and that is giving oral antihistamines to your kids when they are having an eczema flare up. Not for the usual daily rashes, but for when they have a flare up and their rashes go bright red and angry and insanely itchy.

I’ve been dealing with eczema on my kids for almost 11 years (3 kids worth) and up until about a year ago no one had ever recommended antihistamines during a flare up. I went to a chemist once to buy bandages (for wet bandaging) and they recommended them, and my goodness, they are fabulous!! I’ve given DS2 antihistamine (Claratyne liquid) quite a few times now, usually at night if he wakes up so itchy that he can’t sleep. Within half an hour he is back to sleep, no longer itchy. The next morning, the redness has died down dramatically.

I went to get a new bottle and was recommended a new one, Aerius, which is supposed to be really good.
DS2 is currently having a really bad flare up, probably the worst yet, and it’s all over his face, and everywhere else. Also his teacher complained of him being so itchy at school that he can’t concentrate and is very irritable. So I’ve given him 2 doses of Aerius so far and the teacher said he’s so so much better. The redness has subdued so much. The doctor recommends I keep him on the antihistamine for 1-2 weeks at the moment, and slather him with moisturiser at every given opportunity (he has Celestone but it really doesn’t work anymore and shouldn’t be used for more than 7 days at a time).

So, sorry for the essay but I’m really just excited that I’ve found something that at least calms down a flare up, and really wanted to share incase it benefits other long term sufferers of eczema-kids.

Now…. to get rid of the eczema altogether… that’s the next challenge….

Natural Treatment For Eczema | Lets Chit Chat Now

Nothing beats organic methods. They’re not only safe, but also economical. The exact same goes for eczema treatment. It is always safer to administer treatments the natural way. With organic therapies, you don’t need to stress over side effects and expensive drugs to get rid of eczema.

In dealing with eczema, we can always depend on the power of organic treatments. Here are a few of the most common organic treatments for eczema:

Eczema patients ought to have a regular intake of water to keep the skin hydrated and moisturized. Dry skin triggers eczema attacks and it can even intensify it. Eczema patients are recommended to drink at the very least two liters of water daily.

Probiotics can also minimize the development of eczema, particularly in youngsters. Probiotics, or also known as good bacteria, are found in the gut. These are live microorganisms that fight against bad bacteria and increase our immunity against ailments. They can also assist in protecting against eczema attacks.

It is also recommended that eczema patients take supplements to help repair skin damage and keep the skin healthy. Examples are Vitamin C and E and virgin coconut oil. These nutrients have antioxidant qualities that can fix skin damage. Also, they have a hydrating effect on the skin.

Taking an oatmeal bath is an additional way of soothing the skin. It helps relieve the dryness and inflammation of the skin and has a relaxing effect. It also keeps the skin healthy, smooth and moisturized.

Stress can also cause eczema attacks. As much as possible, stay away from stressful conditions and environments. Learn how to manage anxiety. You can minimize stress by breathing in flower essences that have a soothing aroma.

Sustaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle can also protect against eczema attacks. Discipline yourself. Try to stay away from smoking cigarettes and drinking alcoholic drinks. Eat well and work out everyday. This can strengthen your immune system and protect against complications from eczema. Furthermore, make it a habit to keep yourself and your surroundings clean. This can help prevent eczema attacks in addition to maintain good skin condition.

Eczema is a condition that can not be cured, but it can be treated and prevented. There are different medicines that are available to treat eczema. However, there are organic methods that you can administer to treat and prevent eczema attacks. Most patients like natural methods because they are cost-efficient and have no frightening adverse effects. Either way, eczema is a condition that calls for particular care and immediate attention to prevent complications.

Dealing With Allergies | How to treat Your Babys Eczema? How to …

If you are looking for a way to treat your baby’s eczema, then this article is a must read for you. My baby used to have year-round Eczema on his face, hands, and feet. Trust me, there is nothing worst than your child having dry and itchy skin. So I decided to find a solution to find natural solutions to fix my baby’s eczema outbreaks besides the ointment that my doctor was prescribing me. Guest what, I found some! There are some simple steps that you can take to reduce your baby’s eczema and flare-ups. However, before we continue let’s define eczema.

What is Eczema?
Eczema may look different from person to person, but it is most often characterized as dry, red, and extremely itchy patches on the skin. Some people have more severe Eczema than others. Some people even have weeping or oozing Eczema. But, having Eczema is not a horrible plague. Many people have to deal with Eczema on a daily or seasonal basis. Eczema can occur on just about any part of the body and many substances have been identified as itch “triggers” for those with Eczema. Eczema is something that affects individuals of all ages; from young babies to adults.

What things should you do to help your baby avoid Eczema outbreaks?
Anything from changing weather conditioners to dish detergents and clothing fabrics can aggravate your baby’s Eczema. If your child is susceptible to Eczema, avoid dressing them in wool or rough fabrics. These fabrics will only irritate their dry, itchy skin.

Also, consider getting your baby an allergy test. Although having one done is sometimes cumbersome and time consuming you can discover what foods, animals, carpets, or even trees that cause your baby’s Eczema to flare up. I used to love taking my baby on morning strolls with me through a neighborhood that was filled with Cherry Blossoms, but after the allergy test I learned that this was triggering my baby’s eczema.

If you can’t afford to have an allergy test done, consider keeping a journal. Keep a log of everything your child eats and wears. Eventually, you will discover certain patterns. That is where self-diagnosis can begin.

What can I do to treat my baby’s Eczema?
There really isn’t a cure for Eczema. However, there are tons of over-the-counter lotions, creams, and baths available. If you really want a high-powered solution, you may even opt to get some prescribed medications. But, there are pros and cons for both options. Here’s some natural and extremely effective remedies for your baby’s eczema that I discovered work best.

All-Natural Creams
The best product that I found for baby eczema was Beauty 4 Ashes Christian Health & Beauty eczema creams and oils. It took me awhile to find this stuff; but, boy am I glad that I did. So, let me save you time and money and give you there website address. It is www.discoverb4a.com.

There are virtually no all-natural Eczema products out there. Most prescribed medications for your baby are actually steroids. Unfortunately, steroids can have a harmful affect on your child’s health. As a result, your baby’s skin will aged very quickly. My recommendation, avoid prescribed medications.

As for the over-the counter stuff, you get what you pay for. Most over-the-counter products like Cortisone 10, Cortaid, or Calamine Lotion do more harm than good. Moreover, most store products have chemical emulsifiers and preservatives that actually can make your baby’s skin drier, such as Aveeno and Eucerin. They are temporary, ineffective solutions. Your best bet is to buy an all-natural cream or oil that contains Eczema healing essentials and herbs. This is why I recommend Beauty 4 Ashes’ Eczema products for your baby. Their products contain essential oils and herbs that are stronger and safer than any chemical alternative. Plus, their products contain skin healing Aloe Vera and skin penetrating natural oils— and oils actually moisturize your skin better than lotion because they penetrate the dermis. If you use Beauty 4 Ashes, your baby’s Eczema should get healed within a few weeks.
